Kayabwe Town is an equator town; one of three towns in Mpigi District (Buwama, Mpigi and Kayabwe).

Kayabwe town is endowed by God; gifted with six (6) SHREWD strategic assets:

Swamp: the Katonga wildlife reserve and wetland is home to the endangered Sitatunga waterbuck deer.
Highway: The Mombasa-Bujumbura transport artery brings in 90% of East African cargo; is 1500km long and takes 25 hours to traverse. It is a tourist highway that leads to the famous mountain gorillas of Bwindi.
River Katonga: We house River Katonga, one of the longest rivers in Uganda; a tributary that supplies Lake Victoria and River Nile.
Equator Line: that crosses 13 world states; 7 of which are in Africa. This is a tourism goldmine.
Waterfront: Kayabwe hugs an estuary of Lake Victoria that used to be a harbour for businesspeople from Kalangala islands. If exploited, it could cut access to Entebbe Airport from 3 hours to 30 minutes.
Design Capital: Kayabwe is endowed by nature with all enabling factors for growing a large city including Uganda Martyr' University - Nkozi.
